A nongovernmental organisation, Committed Youths for Better Nigeria Forum, on Tuesday donated 40 seats and over 400 exercise books to an Islamic school in Tudun Maliki area of Kano metropolis.
The donation, according to the forum’s chairman, Ambassador Ibrahim I. Ibrahim, was made to Sautul Qur’an Islamiyyah school as one of the projects they have been carrying out for long.

- Will the world ever miss Nigeria for anything?
He explained that the forum is concerned with both western and Islamic schools’ educational development, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
Ibrahim also said, “We have been doing this in other schools because education is our priority. If other people and NGOs will do what we do, things will be better.
“With what is happening in the country, we are not supposed to allow government to do everything alone, it is our collective responsibility.”
The Chairman also said lack of education is one of the major causes of moral decadence in society, hence, the need for the intervention.
Responding, the Chairman of the school, Malam Nura Abdullahi, thanked the NGO for the gesture and called on other NGOs and philanthropists, to emulate the donors.
He said the school, established since 1994, teaches Quranic and other Islamic knowledge and has so far graduated hundred of students.
