NGO donates foodstuffs to deaf students in Plateau

The Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center, Jos, has donated foodstuff to School of the Deaf and Vocational Centre for the Blind, Zawan, in Bassa and Jos South Local Government Areas of Plateau.

Mr Ayuba Gufwan, the Executive Director and Founder of the centre, presented the items separately on Thursday.

Gufwan said that the gesture was aimed at bringing succour to the students, adding that it will enhance teaching and learning.

He explained that the donation was done in collaboration with Dr Ron Rice, its partner in the United States.

Gufwan added that the donation was part of its mandate towards supporting persons with disabilities in the society.
