A non-governmental organisation, Food Alms Foundation, at the weekend doled out food packs to vulnerable people such an event in Lagos as part of its contribution to reduce hunger in the community.
At the distribution event held at Ijeshatedo, Surulere, edible food items were given to dozens of less privileged people in the community.
Co-founder, Food Alms Foundation, Durosomo Oladapo, stated that the foundation was borne out of the desire to reduce hunger.
“It is a humanitarian organisation that is here to support the general masses with raw food items and prepared food,” he said.

He stressed the foundation’s plans to start a skill acquisition programme to empower people so that they can earn a living.
