At a press briefing in Owerri, Imo State, the spokesman of the group, Osita Obinna, said the activities of Kanu and the operators of Radio Biafra were endangering the unity of the country.
He also urged the federal government to continue the military operations in the South East until the operatives of the Eastern Security Network linked to IPOB are “completely defeated.”
Obinna said: “In the same vein, we commend the Nigeria police, Imo State command and the military for liberating
Orlu, Orsu and their environs and for restoring peace in Imo State.
“We commend the NBC for suspending Radio Biafra and we call for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and the operators of the illegal Radio Biafra. You can’t be luring people to their early graves and you expect us to keep quiet.”
