The Kadijah Ibrahim foundation yesterday celebrated Easter with less privileged children at the Katty children’s home in Karu, Abuja.

Founder of the NGO, Hajiya Kadijah Ibrahim, said she decided to celebrate with the orphans as they needed to be shown love, with most of them infected with various ailments including, cancer, HIV, and tumours.

“We really need to show the children love at all time, so that they wouldn’t feel that the society has rejected them and that is why today I brought them out to the Magic land so that they can also celebrate like other children,” She said.

She called on other Nigerians to come to the aid of children with special needs saying, “Katty has over 50 children in her custody. She feeds; clothes and even send them to schools all alone. So I am calling on others to assist because this American lady is really doing her best,” she said.

The manager of the Abuja Magic land, Mr Paul Oko, said the children were brought at most festive seasons to celebrate with others, adding that it was a way to give back to the society.
