The Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) has fixed May 15 to 19, 2023, for the induction of governors-elect ahead of the May 29, swearing in.
This followed the conclusion of the 2023 general elections where new governors were elected and others re-elected.
The induction programme for incoming and returning governors is the NGF’s flagship programme where the incoming governors are supported with special tools to usher them into office in a seamless manner and to assist them move away from campaign to governance.
In a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, the Director, Media and Public Affairs of the NGF, Abdulrazaque Barkindo, said President Muhammadu Buhari would deliver a keynote address at the event.

He said, “The occasion accords the governors the opportunity to share experiences and compare notes to further strengthen service delivery to the Nigerian people at the subnational level.
