NGA hails Verheijen’s FG appointment, lauds Innoson gas vehicles

The Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), the umbrella body and voice of operators and players in the country’s gas value chain, has hailed the appointment of Ms Olu Verheijen as Special Adviser on Energy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The leadership of the NGA described Verheijen’s appointment as well-deserved and an exemplary validation of her hard work, superior dedication to her professional endeavours and testament to her competence, expertise and outstanding contributions to the energy industry in the country, especially the gas sector.

Mr Akachukwu Nwokedi, president of the association, said, “We have no doubt that your role as a member of the policy advisory council set up by the president will be instrumental in charting a new trajectory in the country’s energy policy environment, and it is heartening to see that your efforts have been acknowledged at the highest levels of government.

“As Special Adviser on Energy, you have been tasked with a critical responsibility, and we are confident that you will excel in your new role.” he added.

Similarly, the association commended Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma,Chairman of Innoson Group of Companies, for the successful launch of his locally produced IVM City Bus 6115, a wholly locally-assembled gas-powered (Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)) mass transit vehicles in Nigeria.

The association hailed Innosson’s feat as a remarkable achievement and a testament to the ingenuity of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing in producing vehicles that will run on natural gas, Nigeria’s most endowed natural resource, as the fuel of choice for transportation in the country.
