“This is the handiwork of mischief makers who are desperate for political powers. I never told anyone that I was stepping down and will not do so at this time. My plan to rebrand Nigeria football is still intact and if given the chance to be president of the federation, I will make sure I empower the state FA’s with monthly grants to support football in their domain”

“Our desire to develop football from the grassroots must start from the states so we must empower all the 37 states FA to the best of our ability.

“The plan is to talk with corporate bodies and the state governors on why we must all put heads together to promote football at the state level. Added to this, I want to send our coaches and referees on foreign courses, I want to improve the standard of our league and also fortify the football secretariat to flourish in line with international best practices.

“Our desire is to change the narrative and I am confident that with the support of my team, we can do so much” Amadu concluded.

He said, he is indeed shopping for a competent general secretary who has the capacity to change things for the better in the secretariat when he emerges as NFF president.
