The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will be consulting with it’s technical committee to decide on the future of the Super Eagles and Super Falcons coaches, Jose Peseiro and Randy Waldrum respectively.
According to the NFF president, Ibrahim Gusau, both coaches future lies with the recommendations of its technical committee led by Sharif Inuwa Ahlan.
“I cannot say Peseiro will continue as the Super Eagles coach, we have a technical committee, and we have to listen to their recommendation. I am optimistic that Nigerians will be happy with our decision.
“His contract ended in July and we’re now talking to him and his lawyers,” he said yesterday.
In the same vein, Gusau said the contract of Randy Waldrum, coach of the country’s women’s team, has also expired after he led them to the Round of 16 at the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
He said a decision on Waldrum would also have to be taken soon by the technical committee, as the team will begin their qualification campaign for the 2024 Paris Olympics next month.
