Six persons Saturday lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident involving a truck and a Toyota Sienna car along the Enugu-Abakaliki Highway.
The spot of the accident was a few metres close to Nkalagu Junction in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The truck was coming from Abakiliki while the Sienna, which had about seven passengers, was heading to Abakiliki from Enugu when the two had head on collision.

Our correspondent, who was at the scene of the accident, observed that some passengers were still trapped in the bus while rescue operation was still ongoing.
Policemen and sympathizers used an axe to try and rescue the trapped victims of the vehicles for medical attention.
