The Director General of the national Commission for the coordination and control of the proliferation of small arms and light Weapons (NATCOM), Dr. Baba Mohammed has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of new Year.
A statement by the Director General said year 2023 is a defining moment for the country, especially going into the 2023 general elections.
Mohammed expressed hope that the compelling need to tackle the nation’s challenges in security, economy and employment deficits will be drastically suppressed when NATCOM comes into operations.
He urged Nigerians to support the noble cause towards the actualization of NATCOM as demonstrated by President Muhammadu Buhari, the leadership and members of the national Assembly, the national security adviser and other critical stakeholders.
While wishing Nigerians a happy and prosperous New Year, the Director General emphasized that a quick Presidential assent to the NATCOM bill will be great news to Nigerians in 2023.
