The new Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Wukari in Taraba State, Professor Jude Sammani Rabo, has promised to reposition the institution to an enviable position.
Professor Rabo made the promise during the handing over ceremony on Thursday.

He said he would work hard to improve on the achievements of his predecessor, Professor Abubakar Musa Kundiri.
The new VC commended the outgoing VC for the remarkable achievements he recorded during his tenure.
He further pledged to make the university grow beyond its present stage and make prompt payment of all outstanding arrears owed staff as soon as funds were released by the relevant authorities.
“I want to assure you that the welfare of the staff of the university will be one of my uppermost priorities and I will ensure a team work that will guarantee an open door policy, “ he said.
Prof Rabo also stressed that he would complete all ongoing projects embarked by his predecessor.
Prof Kundiri on his part said he had no doubt that the new VC would be an excellent replacement and urged the staff of the institution to accord him maximum cooperation.
He thanked the staff of the institution for their cooperation and invaluable advice throughout his tenure, adding that he was always ready to offer useful service whenever he was called upon.
