The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has issued letters of appointments to the Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, and the four Executive Directors.
The General Manager, Public Affairs at TCN, Ndidi Mbah, in a statement on Monday night, said the top members of the TCN management team got the letter on Monday for an initial term of four years.

Daily Trust sighted a copy of the letter for Engr. Abdulaziz which is dated May 22.
While the appointment of Engr. Abdulaziz is with effect from May 19, 2020, the confirmation of the four executive directors is with effect from December 27, 2019.
The new MD of TCN is a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), and was the regional transmission manager of Abuja region of TCN until his appointment.
Daily Trust reports that the former MD of TCN, Mr Usman Gur Mohammed, was removed from office on May 19, 2020 in a statement from the Minister of Power, Engr. Sale Mamman.
The Minister, according to documents, had gotten approval of President Muhammadu Buhari for his actions through correspondence from Buhari’s new Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari.
The Minister had accused the erstwhile TCN head of frustrating the Siemens Presidential Power Initiative (PPI) and other sundry issues.
