The new Emir is expected to enter the Palace as an Emir, receive homage and allegiance from title holders, community leaders and pray his first Friday prayer at the Central Mosque located in the palace.

It will be recalled that Justice Sidi Dauda Bage was announced the seventeenth Emir of Lafia on March 26, 2019 after the demise of the late Emir, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai, on January 10, 2019 at the age of 84 who ruled the Emirate for 44 years.
