The Executive Director, Bolton White Group, Kingsley Obiukwu, said the new world-class convention center being developed by the a subsidiary of the Group will help improve hospitality and tourism in Nigeria.
Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Obiukwu said: “Bolton White Group is committed to setting new standards in hospitality, and this convention center will be a testament to our dedication to elevating the art of hosting.”
“The impact of a modern convention center, especially when it’s an extension of a luxury hotel like the Johnwood Hotel, can be significant for both the hospitality and tourism industries in Nigeria and on a global scale.
“A modern convention center can attract a large number of business travelers, delegates, and tourists from around the world. Nigeria’s tourism industry may see an uptick as more people visit the country to attend conferences, conventions, and events hosted at the center.

Obiukwu said the project may also help promote local culture, adding that hosting events at the convention center could provide a platform for showcasing Nigeria’s rich culture, art, and traditions to a global audience.
While describing how the convention centre will look, he said its architecture is a testament to elegance and innovation, adding that the centre was designed by some of the best architects in Nigeria.

He said the project would be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2024.
