Students have said the establishment of six additional colleges of education by the federal government will make higher education more accessible.

The president, National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Students (NANCES), Comrade Mahmud Abubakar, made the assertion in a statement.

He said the new colleges would also foster national development and reduce poverty by increasing access to education.

“This move is a step in the right direction. NANCES as a family passes a vote of confidence on the federal government and the National Commission for Colleges of Education and urged the government to speedily kick start academic courses in the colleges to bridge the access gap,” the statement said.
