If Nigerians can liberate themselves from the shackles of godfathers; the country will be a better place; and our politics will be free from the ogreish control of men who sit on their couches dictating who should be governor or senator.
We will surely get there when godfatherism wouldn’t be fashionable in Nigerian politics. It happened in Kwara, Oyo, and now Edo. Godfathers, watch your back! The wind of change is seriously blowing. Power belongs to the people.
Although, this nagging political chaos is not that peculiar as it has been in practice and in existence from the moment we attained independence with the exception of the following national musketeers i.e the Sardauna of Sokoto,Sir Abubakar Tafawa balewa, Dr Nnamdi Azikwe.
However, the so-called power moulders of this country are seemingly enjoying the presence of political godfathers by submitting themselves to them in order to enable them to loot the public funds meant for the provision of social amenities for the masses.
Finally, total eradication of godfathers could not be hundred percent possible, but could be reduced to a moderate level.
