Need for new Kaduna bridge

Now this bridge is weak and, sometimes, it is flooded by River Kaduna.I am using this medium to call on the governor of Kaduna State, Architect Namadi Sambo to ensure that a new bridge is constructed so that the present one can be reserved in case of emergency. We all know, what happened to Carter bridge in Lagos before another one was constructed, the same goes for Adamawa bridge in Yola.

So many old bridges in America and Europe have been replaced with new ones to avert catastrophy.

Everyday hundreds of vehicles both big and small ply this bridge. The situation is even made worse due to the various Kaduna crises which had polarised the state.

Now majority of the Christians in the state capital now reside in Kaduna South while the Muslims remain in Kaduna North.

You can then imagine what happens everyday when civil servants and traders close for the day.

This phenomenon has caused the perpetual “go-slow” on the bridge up to the Railway station market.

I believe the governor would use his good office to do something about this all important bridge.
