NEDC donates trade fair pavilion to North East chambers of commerce

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has donated its trade fair pavilion at ongoing 15th North East Joint Trade Fair to the North East Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) for the development of future trade fair in Bauchi State and the subregion in general.

Speaking during presentation of the pavilion Saturday at the trade fair complex holding in Bauchi IBB square, Coordinator of NEDC in Bauchi, Ibrahim Mohammed Bashir, said the Commission decided to donate the pavilion in order to encourage trade fair development and facilitate future trade fair, saying,the pavilion contributed immensely to the success of their activities before and during exercise.

Bashir said that NEDC is always ready to support anything that would enhance economic and social wellbeing of the North East states to achieve the desired objectives.

He added that the NACCIMA had earlier requested the donation of the pavilion and that after due consideration, the  NEDC  acceded.

“Not only trade fair, the Commission is always ready to take part and support any development activities that are being requested and forwarded to NEDC. I am sure the Commission would take prompt action to ensure that there is development in the North East region,” he said.

Responding, First Vice President of the North East Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA)Alhaji Bala Othman Suleiman, thanked NEDC for the gesture and assured the commission of their commitment to ensure rapid development of commercial activities in Bauchi State and the North East region in general.

Suleiman explained that getting the pavilion was a turning point for development of NACCIMA because, it contained all the state-of-art facilities convenient for meetings and other economic activities to boost trade and other businesses in the state and beyond,
