The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has donated relief materials to victims of fire disaster that destroyed over 20 tents at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Roundabin-Shuwa on the outskirt of Bauchi town.
It will be recalled that fire disaster had recently killed one person and rendered over 100 IDPs homeless. City & Crime learnt that the IDPs are victims of the Boko Haram crisis from Borno State taken refuge in Bauchi State.

Speaking during the presentation of the relief materials, Coordinator of NEDC in Bauchi, Bashir Ibrahim, said the donated items including food and non-food items are aimed at providing immediate succour to the victims of the fire disaster.
Responding, leader of the IDP camp, Bulama Gujja, thanked NEDC for the gesture, saying the items would bring relief to the victims, especially at this critical time and assured equitable distribution of the items to the beneficiaries.
