NECO registrar calls for exams malpractices special court

Okpala made the call in Minna at his valedictory lecture titled: ‘Beyond the Mandate of a Public Examinations Board: the role of NECO,’ saying government should always appoint professionals in their areas of specialisation to achieve positive results.
“Examinations body should play the role of being a standard-bearer and unbiased umpire or referee, auditor or external examiner in examining, researching not the role of a coach or a teacher, if it must achieve effective, efficient and easy performance result,” he said.
The NECO boss appealed to the federal government to always appoint a professional as the chief executive of the council to achieve results and called for customised answer sheets and participation of credible members of the society in monitoring examinations.
