Ndume clinches APC candidate for Borno South Senatorial zone

Senator representing Borno south Senatorial district Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume has emerged winner the APC senatorial primary elections in Borno state.

Sen. Ndume after pulling 2,005 votes to defeat 3 aspirants, Dr. Salma Kolo got 383 votes, Garba Sanda got 370 votes and Alhaji Musa Balls got 270 votes respectively.

The election took place in Biu town, headquarters of Biu Local government area of the state.

More than 3,000 delegates were drawn from nine local government areas of southern zone.

In a remark shortly after he was declared winner, Ndume, expressed appreciation to all delegates from across the nine local government areas.

He pledged to ensure continuity of various development projects he had embarked upon if voted into power come 2019.
