The Kwara State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said it had arrested 363 suspects and recovered 495.166 kilograms of narcotics between January and June this year.
The state commander of the agency, Mohammed Ibrahim, disclosed this while speaking on the activities lined up ahead of its drug week in Ilorin.
He said the command had also intercepted 61.5 litres of schoches and over 50 litres of codeine-based syrup, adding that out of the suspects arrested, 317 are male while 46 female.

He further said that during the weeklong programme, 20 schools would be engaged and educated on the dangers of drug abuse among students.
