He said the duo were arrested when they both turned up to claim the consignment and that both suspects and the exhibits have been transferred to the Police.
He also said that the European Union (EU) commended the agency for its impressive drug control efforts, especially in the fight against drug trafficking in Africa.

He quoted the EU as saying, “NDLEA is expected to provide insights into the current situation and trends in Nigeria, including discussing ongoing investigations of landmark cases.”
According to him, the EU expressed optimism that the operational meeting will contribute to stability, peace and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
He said that the Chairman/Chief Executive, NDLEA, Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (rtd.), who is leading a team of senior Agency officials to the operational meeting said Nigeria is doing much in the area of drug control and organized crime and that the experience can be shared with other African countries.
