The National Directorate of Employment has trained 25 unemployed youths on solar power installation and maintenance in Plateau State.
The NDE said the training “is part of the efforts of the Federal Government to ensure self-reliance among the Nigerian youth.

While flagging off of the programme in Jos, the State Coordinator of the Directorate, Malam Ibrahim Hardo Abdul’azeez, urged the participants to be serious during the training and put the knowledge into practice.
“We are not only training you to be self-reliant, but to be employers of labour as it is part of the strategy to win against mass unemployment.
“Solar power has become very useful in our various communities and the cheapest source of energy, “ the coordinator added.
Mr Anselm Egbabu, representing Master Trainer of Abuja Graduate School (AGS), also advised the youths to pay attention in order to make an impact within and outside the country in the nearest future.
