The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Yobe State directorate under its Small Scale Enterprises (SSE) department has commenced Basic Business Skill Training of 600 youths and women in Yobe State.
The beneficiaries were selected across the 17 local government areas of the state.

Speaking while flagging off the programme in Damaturu, NDE State coordinator, Misbahu Dauda Mohammed said the five-day training was aimed at preparing the apprentice to access CBN NIRSAL/ Microfinance Bank loan to boost their business.
NIRSAL/ Microfinance Bank is a CBN licensed institution offering loans for multipurpose such as agriculture loans. and small and medium enterprises loans and so on.
He noted the beneficiaries would be taken through basic business skill such as financial management, marketing, budgeting among others.
He said at the completion of the training certificates would be issued to beneficiaries as part of the requirements to acquire the loan.
In her remarks the state commissioner for women affairs, Hajiya Hauwa Bah Abubakar thanked the NDE for identifying with women entrepreneurs in their ongoing intervention.
She emphasized that the loan would go a long way in helping the women to improve on their existing businesses.
