NDE trains 30 youths in business skills

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Benue State has trained 30 youths in basic business skills under its Small-Scale Enterprises Department.

State Coordinator of NDE, Agada William, said the basic business training for 30 beneficiaries of the Enviropreneurship Development Scheme was aimed at increasing the enterprise establishment potential in the state.

He said that the training would sensitise participants to the realities of the Nigerian labour market and encourage them to opt for the self-employment option as a career path among other objectives.

Also, the NDE Head of Department on SSE in Benue, Mrs Abeje Mfam, said the training would make the entrepreneurs ready for unforeseen threats and risks associated with the business.

Responding on behalf of the participants, Adzaagee Agatha and Ikwe Benard in their separate remarks commended the NDE for the training opportunity to better their lives.
