Authorities of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Borno State have said the second batch of graduates recruited under the Graduate Attachment Program (GAP) have been sent to industrial firms to obtain skills.
In all, a total of a total of 600 graduates from various disciplines were said to have been recruited nationwide.

Coordinator, NDE, Borno State, Hajia Mairo Aliyu said 16 graduates, recruited in state under the program have been sent to industrial firms and organisations to obtain work experience.
“The scheme assists professional graduates to acquire some working experience to develop professional skill to enable them get a good job or go into self-employment in their area of discipline,” she said.
She further said the NDE’s Director General, Dr Nasir Mohammed Ladan Argungu, had enjoined the participants to be of good conduct and show good work ethics that would make their trainers employ them should vacancies exist in their respective organizations.
The participants were also urged by the coordinator to be punctual at their places of work, ‘because the program is meant for capacity building towards enhancing employability of unemployed graduates.’
