The National Directorate of Employment NDE, Yobe State Office has recruited 16 unemployed graduate to participate in another round of its Graduate Attachment Programme (GAP).
The programme would last for three months.

Speaking at the one day orientation course for the participants, the NDE director General, Dr. Nasiru Ladan Argungu, through state coordinator Muhammad Misbahu Dauda, said the scheme was part of federal government’s intervention designed to address the alarming level of graduate unemployment by providing them with transient jobs.
He said graduates who wish to participate must have completed the mandatory one-year national service with the National Youth Service Corp while OND/NCE certificate holders were also recruited in some cases.
He explained earlier that 50 graduates had recently completed their attachment with various corporate organizations.
According to him the expected outcomes is to compare competitive talents for their retention in organisation they serve as the exposure allows employers to assess the interns’ job potentials.
He said each participant would receive a stipend of N15,000 monthly throughout the three months internship.
