The National Directorate of Employment has empowered orphans and youths with starter packs worth N6,480,000 to establish businesses in various trades in Borno State.
The beneficiaries were earlier trained under the Community-Based Training Scheme (CBTS) on catering, barbing, tailoring, aluminum fabrication and welding.
The Director General of NDE, Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, said the items would assist the beneficiaries to establish businesses and join the pool of entrepreneurs in the country.

Fikpo, represented by the state’s Coordinator of NDE, Mohammed Mukhtar, also urged them to utilise the rare opportunity given to them and be prudent with the tools.
