NDE disburses N10m loan to 1000 women, youth in Plateau

The National Directorate of Employment(NDE) has  disbursed N10 million to 1000 people in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State as empowerment to help them start-up  businesses.

The Director-General of the agency, who was represented by the State Coordinator, Malam Ibrahim Hardo Abdullazeez, said each of the beneficiaries had received N10,000  adding that  the loan was interest-free.

According to Abdullazeez, the disbursement of the loan, which was in collaboration with the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase was part of the Micro-Enterprise Enhancement Scheme (MEES), meant to create jobs in the communities.

The coordinator  advised the beneficiaries to judiciously invest the money to ensure the attainment of the desired goal of the scheme.

The Deputy Speaker, represented by his aide, Sulaiman Tanimu Abubakar, told the beneficiaries that the loan was not given to them to marry or spend it freely.
