The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), has directed investigation into an alleged immodest behaviour of a staff to the wife of an inmate under custody.

The Controller, NCoS, FCT Command, Dr Abdul-Rahman Maiyaki, disclosed this in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Mr Chukwuedo Humphrey, in Abuja on Tuesday.

He said the command will not take lightly the allegations of the immodest behaviour by a staff of the command who alleged to have coveted the wife of an inmate in custody.

“Acting upon the directives of the Controller-General, we have instituted a full investigation into the matter.

“And also for unhindered access to investigation and justice, Mr Musa has been deployed out of Suleja Custodial Centre,” he said.

Maiyaki assured that, upon the report of the investigation, justice would be served to all parties involved, as the service would not cover any staff who painted the behaviour and good morals of the service in bad light.

The controller also urged the public to continue to have faith and confidence in the officers and men of the command.
