NCC dismisses fear of job losses at Etisalat Nigeria

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has vowed to protect Etisalat Nigeria from possible operational collapse, reports Vanguard. NCC CEO Umar Dambatta said the Commission was not unaware of the current challenge facing Etisalat Nigeria following the recent report about its mother company withdrawal from the Nigerian market but that it has waded into the matter to save the jobs and the interest of 21 million subscribers.

Danbatta said though the Commission never anticipated the crisis would befall Etisalat, it was resolute in ensuring that it does not jeopardize the interest of consumers.
