The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and broadcasters in the country are seeking to unlock $20billion into the economy with the forthcoming Africa Broadcasting Exhibition (Africast).
Disclosing this at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday, the CEO of Broadcast Media Africa (BMA) Mr Benjamin Pious said Nigeria’s broadcasting media industry’ could make $20bn annual revenue if the right technology and prosper business methodology were employed.
Pious said television and radio owners would learn new media technics and business methodology during the exhibition.

Slated to take place in Lagos, from 24 – 26 October, Africast 2023 with the theme Broadcast Content: Synergy, Finance and Market, would be a dynamic expo and convention for broadcasters, media professionals, and content executives in film, TV and Radio industries to come together and explore the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities, the NBC’s Director General Balareba Shehu Ilelah who also spoke at the conference, said.
