The Kaduna State chapter of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has blamed bad leadership at all levels of government over the agitations for self-independence by various groups in the country.

Speaking yesterday shortly after a thanksgiving service at the Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Kakuri as part of activities marking the 2017 Law Week, the deputy leader of NBA, Barrister Festus Okoye, said if Nigerian leaders had given equity, justice and fairness to every section of the country, there would have been little or no agitation from the people.

“Nigeria is going through a lot of challenges. While some people are calling for the dissolution of the country, some are calling for war. As such, people are living in fear. So what NBA is trying to do is to look at some of these challenges that have created anxiety and fear in the mind of people and see in what ways we can proffer solutions,” he said.
