Navy hands over 2 oil thieves to NSCDC in Delta

Troops of the Nigerian Navy (NNS), Delta, on Wednesday at the naval base in Warri, Delta State, handed over two suspected oil thieves to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Navy Capt Solomon Paul, Executive Officer of NNS Delta, handed the suspects to the representatives of the NSCDC on behalf of the Commander of NNS Delta, Commodore Chindo Yahaya.

Addressing newsmen, Capt Solomon said the suspects were apprehended on September 17, in the Asugbo Creek in Warri South LGA.

He said that the feat was made possible by the NNS Delta patrol team in conjunction with the Ocean Marine Solution (OMS) surveillance staff.

Mr Victor Igbinoba, Divisional Head Officer of NSCDC in Warri South LGA, who received the suspects on behalf of the corps, promised that they would be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted. (NAN)
