National Waves Honours Maradun With Award Of Excellence In Public Service

The Head of Department, Commerce of the Federal Capital Territory Water Board, Dr. Muhammed Maradun, has been bestowed with the National Waves Newspaper and Magazine’s Award of Excellence In Public Service, 2024.

Mr Muktar Lawal of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) presented the award to Dr. Maradun at the 16th anniversary celebration of the media outfit held penultimate Thursday in Abuja.

According to the award letter signed by the chairman award selection committee and publisher of National Waves Newspaper and Magazine, Mr Jimmy Enyeh, the top civil servant was honoured on account of his dedication to duty and prompt service delivery.

“This nomination was arrived at after a painstaking public opinion poll and a thorough scrutiny of your activities. There is no denying the fact that you have carved a niche for yourself among your contemporaries, as regards giving a good account of yourself as the HOD, FCT Water Board”

“It is also worthy to note that you are nominated for this prestigious award based on your laudable activities as a civil servant and prompt service delivery at the FCT Water Board. Your contribution has impacted positively on the people of the FCT” the letter reads in part.

Maradun who was born on the 23rd of October, 1967, hails from Zamfara Local Government Area of Zamfara State. He bagged a PhD.(Honoriscausa) Financial Management & Administration in 2024.

He was the best graduating student in the Business Education department, College of Education, Sokoto in 1991.

He rose through the ranks from Assistant Trade Officer to become Head of Department, Commerce at the FCT Water Board.
