Chairman of the Council of National Mathematical Centre, Prof James Oguntuase, has said they will reinvigorate its programmes towards meeting the dreams and aspirations of its founding fathers.
He disclosed this at the maiden meeting of the 6th council at its Permanent Site in Sheda, Kwali Abuja, a statement signed by the Deputy Controller Information & PR, Dr. Onyekachi Njoku, said.

He said the Centre had organised foundation postgraduate courses, and research-oriented courses for postgraduate students and other academics in the university system to improve their capacity to involve in high-level research, teaching and learning.
While noting that this prepared them to become specialists in their respective fields, Prof Oguntuase said in those days and at such periods a critical mass of researchers gathered at the centre for research activities which were meant to improve the quality of education especially in the mathematical sciences.
