National Library sensitises Gombe students on reading culture

The National Library of Nigeria (NLN) has organised a readership promotion campaign in Gombe State, to encourage and inculcate reading culture in school children.

Speaking during the flag-off Wednesday in Gombe, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Library, Professor Lenrie Aina, said the campaign was launched to improve the quality of education by boosting and reviving reading culture among Nigerians, by way of promoting the availability of good reading materials.

Represented by a director at the National Library, Mr Wilson Odumbaku, he said the campaign will focus on pupils and students in primary and secondary schools.
