All activities of the proposed National Commission for the Co-ordination and Control of the proliferation against Small Arms, Ammunitions, Light Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism in Nigeria remain suspended.
This is according to the Co-ordinating Director of Human Resources of the proposed commission, Mr. David Olaitan.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Olaitan reiterated that the proponent of NATCOM Bill that was passed into law by the 9th and 10th National Assembly respectfully, Dr Baba Mohammed, had warned that members of the public must not engage themselves in any illegal activities tantamount to threatening the peace of Nigeria.
The statement further encouraged those who have genuine letters of appointment to be patient for their orientation and training when President Bola Tinubu signs the NATCOM Bill into law and graciously announces Dr Mohammed as the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of NATCOM or the Executive Chairman of NATCOM.
“Members of the public are advised not to engage in any financial transactions of all forms with anyone on behalf of NATCOM as the proposed commission’s officials are law abiding and will remain so,” the statement said.
