The House of Representatives Committee on Ecological Fund has said that the National Assembly will support Kebbi State to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change.
Deputy Chairman of the committee, Hon Shina Oyedeji, who said they were on a nationwide tour to assess the deployment, management and impact of the ecological fund, pledged the National Assembly’s support to deal with the negative impacts of climate change in the state.
He called on the state government to share with the committee the challenges being faced by the state on ecology and utilisation of the fund.
Oyedeji, during a courtesy visit to Governor Nasir Idris on behalf of the chairman of the house committee, lamented that a lot of negative impacts of climate change were now more prevalent in the country just like in other parts of the world.

He said ecology was very crucial to human sustenance, especially in guaranteeing food security.
