The National Assembly has opened a COVID-19 Testing Center for testing and diagnosis of Coronavirus.
The center was commissioned by the Speaker, House of representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila on Tuesday.

A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi quoted the Speaker during the commissioning saying, the Covid-19 testing centre was provided within the National Assembly to cater for the over 4,000 people working there to easily get tested.
According to him, providing the testing for the workers was important looking at the nature of their work.
He said the workers relate with people from different places which put them at a higher risk, as such, the lawmakers and their staff should have the COVID-19 test.
Gbajabiamila urged members of the House and their counterparts in the Senate, their aides, the staff of the National Assembly as well as other support staff to ensure that they get tested since they now have a testing centre close to them.
He commended the chairman of the ad-hoc committee on Covid-19, Rep. Haruna Mshelia (APC,Borno) and the management of the National Assembly as well as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for their efforts in establishing the centre.
