The Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Mohammed Sani Haruna and the Director-General/Chief Executive of the National Space Research & Development Agency (NASRDA), Halilu Shaba, have agreed to start designing and fabricating of rockets and drones for overall socio-economic growth and development of the country.
The collaboration will include the NASENI assisting the NASRDA in the fabrication and design of drones and rockets thereby developing local capacities in those areas and conserving the country’s foreign exchange.

The agreements were reached Tuesday when the NASRDA boss paid a courtesy visit to the management of NASENI in Abuja.
The two CEOs said at the meeting that without collaboration, an individual agency might not be able to do it alone as most hi-tech equipment used in space technologies are imported to the country.
