Nasiru Haladu Danu, a businessman, has been turbaned as the Sardaunan Dutse by the Dutse Emirate Council in Jigawa State.
Danu was turbaned yesterday at an event held in the Emir’s Palace in Garu, Dutse following the death of the previous title holder, Alhaji Maitama Bello.
Before his elevation to the title of Sardauna, Danu held the title of ‘Dan Amanar Dutse’ conferred on him by the late Emir, Nuhu Muhammad-Sanusi, on May 4, 2017.
The event was attended by former President Muhammadu Buhari, the state governor, Umar Namadi among other dignitaries.

Danu is the chairperson of Casiva Limited and the founder and CEO of Nasiru Danu Foundation.
He was born into a family with a strong leaning toward business and politics.
