NASFAT holds special prayers for Nigeria, bemoans Kaduna error bombing

The Nasrul-llah-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has organised a special prayer for the nation to overcome its challenges.

The organisation also described as unfortunate the accidental bombing of villagers in Kaduna by the military, warning that never again should drones meant to protect the people become killer drones.

At the special joint programme organised by Lagos, Ogun and Oyo zones comprising 10 states, thousands of NASFAT members stormed the society’s Islamic Centre Asese along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, where special prayers were offered for peace to reign in Nigeria.

President of NASFAT, Mr Niyi Yusuf, called on Nigerians to support the leadership of the country with prayers to lead the country to the right path.

He said Nigeria is going through a difficult phase exemplified by high inflation, rising poverty, insecurity, and other macroeconomic challenges.

But as Muslims, he said NASFAT believes in the efficacy of prayers for God Almighty to touch the hearts of the leaders and direct their minds to do the right thing for the benefit of the people.

On the accidental bombing of Tudun Biri in Igabi LGA of Kaduna State, the NASFAT President said while the society accepted the apologies of the military, the incident should not happen again, adding that the military should be more careful and work on their intelligence system to avoid such collateral damage in future.

Also speaking, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Abdulaziz Onike, expressed anger over the Kaduna accidental bombing, saying the victims must be adequately compensated.
