The Nasru-lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has empowered 40 women and girls of Chiromawa community in Kano with various skills such as yoghurt production, bead, pomade and soap making.
This is part of efforts to spread the concept of community well-being which aligns perfectly with the Health, Education, livelihood and Da’wah (HELD) initiatives of NASFAT.
Speaking at the presentation of certificates to the beneficiaries of the skills acquisition, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Abdul-Azeez Morufu Onike, advised them to consider the opportunity as the spring board that will make them have good livelihood and realise their life aspirations.
In a statement made available to our correspondent in Lagos, Imam Onike buttressed the import of knowledge and skill acquisition with relevant Quranic verses, saying every individual has a right to enjoy good life away from abject poverty saying “if we truly understand the spirit of being our brother’s keepers and if we imbibe the correct teachings of our religion.”
Hadjia Sadiat Onike-Azeez, the focal person for NASFAT-Carter Centre Collaboration enjoined the participants to spread the opportunity to fellow community members.
