The Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASEIC) says it has earmarked N600m in the 2021 budget proposal for the conduct of the state local government election slated for February 27, 2021.

Barrister Ayuba Usman Wandai, chairman of the commission, made this known when he appeared before the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on NASIEC, Multilateral Cooperation and Community Development to defend the electoral body’s 2021 budget proposal.

He said the commission was working towards ensuring successful conduct of the local government poll in the state.
