National Directorate of Employment ( NDE) has engaged 260 unemployed youths in Nasarawa State in its Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme, B-NOAS.
State acting coordinator of NDE, Mr. Rotgak Goden Go’ar, who disclosed this in an address during the orientation ceremony for the participants in Lafia, said the gesture was in line with efforts by President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to provide employment for unemployed youths of the country.
He explained that the 260 youths would undergo intensive three months’ training in sundry skill sets such as computer appreciation, barbing, hairdressing, fashion, and design, among others.
According to him, the orientation exercise was meant to expose the newly recruited participants to the advantage of the scheme, rules, regulations, code of conduct and conditions governing training.
