The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Othman Bala Adam ‘Boss’ has applauded the appointment of three coaches from the state to handle some of the national teams.
The football governing body last Friday made public appointment of coaches for the cadet male and female national teams.
The federation listed coaches of the state-owned football clubs, Nasarawa United and Nasarawa Amazon in the coaching crew of the Flying Eagles and Falconets respectively.
While Samaila Marwa ‘Keshi’ was appointed as Assistant Coach/Scout for the Flying Eagles, Coach Christopher Danjuma was assigned to head the U -20 girls team, the Falconets just as Audu Yahaya was appointed goalkeeper Coach of the Falconets.
The commissioner, therefore, expressed happiness over the appointments as he said it was a reward for hard work and dedication to duty.
He also said the appointments never came to him as a surprise because the coaches had proved their mettle with the state owned football clubs.
Adam, therefore, called on the Danjuma, Yahaya and Marwa to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their new assignments.
