Nasarawa govt donates land to NSCDC for barracks

The Nasarawa State Government has donated a piece of land to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for the building of its barracks and headquarters in the state.

Gov. Umaru Al-Makura, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr. Silas Ali Agara, at the passing out parade of 4,395 NSCDC officers who had undergone training on firearms handling, obstacle crossing, range classification and counter-terrorism in Lafia, said the land would be made available before the end of April, 2019.

“I have directed the Commissioner for Lands and the Director of the Nasarawa Geographical Information System (NAGIS) to make the land available before the end of April. I commend the Nasarawa State Commandant of the NSCDC for spearheading the training of the corps’ officers and men on counter-terrorism.”
